Subject: Etymology of Kanji
If you are into studying the origins of Japanese characters or seeing how some of them used to look then you might find Kanji Networks quite interesting. Some people think it helps them to know the origin of the character so that they know why it looks the way it does today and that will help them remember the characters.

I think the simpler character make sense, but the complex ones which are made up of simple characters do not give any reason as to why they were combined to form the meaning of the new character.

Just remember, too much information is not necessarily a good thing. You could be overloaded with info. If you are a learner, you need to spend lots of time with the characters and words you are trying to master.
