The following book was recommended for the study of Korean Hanja.

The recommendation came from a well respected polyglot who had lived in Korea for about 9 years.
Here is what he says about how to learn Korean. Note: It is the second post in the thread.

He says you should write them out on paper with squares while reading them aloud.

If one's got enough Korean, I recommend the three-volume '한자박사 만들기' series by 박원길. Unlike most other 漢字 books, it's not stuffed with too much information. It lacks the stroke orders and radicals but those are available in any 따라쓰기 book for students (and others). In addition, it presents the English definition for each character (and most multiple readings), which is doesn't hurt to have sometimes. One might try '한자의 핵 300자' to get a basic foothold.

As for dictionaries - if one's got enough Korean - consider this one: '敎學漢韓辭典' (교학 한한사전). It's larger than most but smaller than some, with 17,452 individual characters and about 100,000 words. The page layout is very nice, and the binding and cover are strong. There's no English, but the Chinese and Japanese readings are included. I haven't handled this but it's got English, Chinese and Japanese readings: 새로 나온 민중판 | '한자옥편사전(한중일영 공용) '

And if one's in a traditional mood, there's always the 千字文, which one should be done just to say so. I've impressed many a Korean by reciting the first verse: '하늘 천, 땅 지, 검을 현, 누를 황; 집 우, 집 주, 넓을 홍, 거칠 황'. Or 推句 is another option.
